Rose First Aid in Spring
After a harsh winter with minus 10 degrees celcius/14 degrees fahrenheit - I'm cutting the roses much closer to the ground than usual.
Use lime / calcium oxide or calcium hydroxide if you have acidic soil and it rains a lot. Also you can add egg shells and oyster shells or other mussels. Any balanced fertilizer will do, use organic, synthetic or both. Make sure the fertilizer doesn't touch the actual rose plants, as this can harm them.
If it doesn't rain, you will need to water the roses for the fertilizer to be able to do it's work.
...This week, it is all about gardening at Isamolle. The song in the background I wrote for this video. Hope you enjoy. xoxo, Isabelle
